<p>Bengaluru: A relaxing evening for a group of 13 friends turned into a nightmare after a gang of assailants barged into their room at a social club in southern Bengaluru, stripped them bare and robbed them.</p><p>The police said the assailants fled with Rs 10 lakh in cash, 700 grams of gold ornaments, and the victims’ mobile phones.</p><p>The incident occurred on Monday at the BVK Club on 9th Main, Banashankari 2nd Stage.</p><p>Ramesh T, the complainant, told the police that he and 12 of his friends had gathered at the club to celebrate Ugadi and decided to drink and gamble.</p><p>Ramesh, 58, a house broker from Banashankari, and his friends reached the club at 2 pm and entered Room 201 on the second floor. They began playing cards, consuming alcohol, and socialising.</p>.Two arrested for assaulting, robbing cab driver in Delhi.<p>According to the FIR, they heard a knock on the door around 6 pm. When they opened it, the assailants — wearing masks and caps and armed with machetes — forced their way inside. Ramesh claimed that one of the attackers struck one of his friends on the hand with the handle of a machete.</p><p>The assailants, believed to be between 20 and 35 years old, ordered the victims to remain silent and assaulted some of them, the FIR noted. They then robbed them of Rs 10 lakh in cash, 700 grams of gold ornaments, and their mobile phones.</p><p>“They forcibly undressed us and locked us inside the room,” Ramesh told the police. “They even took our clothes while escaping.”</p><p>A case has been registered by the Banashankari police, but no arrests have been made yet, officials said.</p><p>A separate case was also registered against the establishment in connection with the gambling.</p>
