Looking for a quick meal on Church Street? You can now head to Eat.fit that opened just about a month ago.
.
Though the brand is an old one, as a delivery-only service, the Church Street one offers a physical space for diners to stop.
.
Boasting a menu of ‘superfood’ vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, we eagerly tucked into their food for lunch.
.
The restaurant is part of the Cult.fit franchise, which specialises in fitness, wellness and food.
.
Eat.fit has items like Oatmeal Bowls, Curry and Biryani on the menu. The head of the food design team, Manasa Rajan, told us the ethos is “guilt free comfort food”.
.
All ingredients are sourced locally — with Manasa emphasising the menu’s inclusion of superfoods like flaxseed, and the exclusion of ingredients like oil and sugar.
.
We enjoyed the Veg Thali with Dal Makhni, Paneer Khatta Pyaaz and Roti, which can be customised to include different curries of your choice.
.
Both curries were rich in flavour; the dal gravy was particularly tasty and would go down well when you’re looking for something cosy on a rainy day.
.
The whole wheat rotis were light and easy to devour and did not drench in oil.
.
Accompanying the meal, we sipped on the Snickers Smoothie. It was a delightful chocolate hit that’s made and bottled fresh in-house.
.
For the sweet lovers, the eatery offers bite-sized Chocolate Brownie and Lemon Chia Bake which are a healthy treat after a nutritious meal.
.
While Eat.fit is well worth a visit, for the environmentally-minded, be aware that drinks and food are served in plastic bottles and disposable trays.
.
It’s a work in progress with Manasa saying the company wants to get biodegradable options.
.
Eat.fit is located at No 24 Church Street. It is open from 10 am to 10 pm.
