Some kept to their rooms, while the others ventured out.

Graeme Swann, who was out to meet his friends, was cheerful on the surface. Deep down, the thought that his team threw away an easy victory rankled him.

Metrolife approached Graeme and chatted up a bit. “The tie was a bit disappointing. It was a feeling of being destroyed. Zaheer Khan did an exceptional job,” he sighed and but soon settled down to talk about things other than cricket. It was obvious he was keen on putting things behind and moving on.

About what the team does after a match, Graeme said, “We don’t really celebrate or go out and party. There will be no celebrations unless we lift the cup.” Graeme Swann is no stranger to India. He seemed to know a lot about the food, movies and shopping destinations.

“I will travel around and explore the country as soon as I can grab some time off cricket. I really like the energy of the people in Bangalore. They’re on their toes all the time,” Graeme observed.

Graeme thinks India has a mystery about it. “The place is enticing and so are the people. The women in India are really pretty,” he beamed.

He says that he does watch a lot of Hindi movies back home. “Bollywood is a big thing here in India and it’s popular back home as well. I don’t really follow anything in the movies but Ravi Bopara keeps us updated on who’s who of Bollywood,” said Graeme and added, “for instance, he points out to a particular actress and says ‘she’s the Elizabeth Hurley of Bollywood’. That’s how we know who the actresses are and what they’re popular for.”

If there’s one food that Graeme would experiment with then it has to be the Indian chicken dishes. “It’s chicken tikka, chicken tandoori... anything and everything to do with chicken,” he sums up.
