The mortal remains of industrialist and liquor baron L Srihari Khoday were cremated on Tuesday evening at Khoday’s private land near Amrit Mahal Estate in Anjanapura.
The body was kept at his residence for public view. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and a host of dignitaries, family friends and relatives paid their last tributes. The body was taken for cremation around 12 noon but eventually took place at 5 pm. Over 10,000 persons attended the cremation.
Khoday passed away due to illness on Monday at Mallige Medical Care Centre on Crescent Road, Madhava Nagar.
He was suffering from diabetes and age-related complications.
