At a slow and steady pace, actress Ishita Vyas has come a long way since her debut as a reporter in Aamir Khan’s production Peepli Live.

Today, the actress has bagged movies with Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi and has already shared screen space with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Mahesh Manjrekar.

But it’s not about the people that she has acted with that makes her who she is. Ishita says that in all these years in the film industry, she has grown to stand on her own feet and realise her potential as an actress.

The acting bug bit her a long time ago but it was only after getting her big break that she realised this was where she belonged.

While she had many offers, Ishita picked only those which she felt would help her explore her talent.

Soon enough, offers from the South too flooded in and Ishita made her debut in Sandalwood through Satish Kaushik’s Bete.

“I had always a keen interest in all languages and when I heard the story of Bete, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. I didn’t know anyone in Bangalore and it was my first time in the City.

But the team was so welcoming and made me feel instantly at home. I remember all the malls in the City and even shooting at Nandi Hills,” she says.

Though she hasn’t signed any other Kannada film, Ishita hopes to work with actors like Darshan, Puneeth Rajkumar and Sudeep sometime.

Soon, Ishita will be seen in ‘Oh My God’ and Special Chabbis with Akshay Kumar.

While she doesn’t talk much about her role in ‘Oh My God’, as her character is part of the turning point in the film, Ishita does get candid about her role in Special Chabbis.

“I play a CBI officer along with Anupam Kher. This is a dear role for me as I have always been a big fan of action flicks and doing my own stunts and I will get to show off a few stunts in this film,” she adds.

Action is something Ishita loves, which is why she also signed on Ek Thi Dayaan.

“Emraan Hashmi plays a magician in this film and I play his assistant. This is a thriller to watch out for as there are many special effects which only enhance the story,” she adds.

Unlike many actresses, Ishita is open to doing films in any language. In fact, she is currently in talks regarding some Tamil projects.

“Language has never been a barrier for me and as long as the story and the star cast is good, I would love to experiment with all kinds of films,” she wraps up.
