The birth centenary of Ganakala Bhushana Veena Vidwan L Raja Rao will also be celebrated on the occasion. Karnataka Kala Vidwan M Kodanda Ram and Sangeeta Vidushi V Kalavati Avadhoot will preside over the conference. Musical concerts will be held every evening by popular musicians and vocalists. Festival strains
The Mysore Education Society, Kalavedi will present Vidyasagara Prof MPL Sastry Musical Festival from September 4 to 7, 6.15 pm at the Conference Hall, MES College, 15th Cross, Malleswaram. All the participants are former students of the college.

The International Music and Arts Society is presenting a Classical
Western music concert, a violin and cello recital, by Canadian musicians
Julie-Anne Derome and Gabriel Prynn on September 11, 7 pm
at the Alliance Francaise.




‘Sangeetha Sabha’
Nadaranjani Sangeetha Sabha, Basaveshwaranagar is organising a music concert on September 5, 6.15 pm at the Dharini Mahila Sangha premises, behind Post Office, Basaveshwaranagar.

Kalaabhimaani’
Kalaabhimaani is holding a Hindustani classical music concert on violin by Pandit B S Math and his wife Akkamahadevi Math. The programme will be held at the Indian Heritage Academy Hall on September 6 at 5.30 pm.

In memory
Indiranagar Sangeetha Sabha is holding a concert in memory of the late Kamakshi Varadaraju on September 5, 6 pm. Shubha Ganesan will be performing vocal, Kandadevi Vijayaraghavan will be on  violin,  Karaikudi V M Ganesan on mrudangam and G   Guruprasanna on kanjira.
