<p> In a marathon three-hour meeting held on Wednesday evening, suggestions put forth by the Agenda for Bengaluru Infrastructure Development (ABIDe) were reviewed. “The developmental works in the City from ABIDe has been taken into consideration and a lot of ideas were tabled today,” the chief minister said. <br /><br />From road maintenance to the need for a Mono Rail, the CM said a whole range of issues were raised by the ABIDe and other City agencies.<br /><br />Heritage priority<br /><br />Yeddyurappa asked the City agencies to build a museum to preserve the history of Bangalore on a priority basis. “Also, henceforth, as a mark of respect, Bengaluru Habba will be celebrated on the birthday of Kempegowda,” he said. <br /><br />Signal-free ORR<br /><br />As a first step towards fulfiling promises of a jam-free ride through Bangalore, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) will initiate plans of a signal-free outer ring road from Silk Board Junction to Hesarghatta Road. The CM said in the coming week, BDA will be inviting tenders for this project and the foundation stone will be laid between June 23 and 25.</p>.<p>Report on buildings on drains<br /><br />The City’s civic agencies have been asked to prepare a detailed report on the number of buildings constructed over storm water drains, buildings razed to the ground and those that are to be demolished, minister R Ashok said here on Wednesday. “I have sought a detailed report on these buildings from the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Commissioner. The report will be ready and made public in the next ten days,” Ashok said. On the new suggestions given by ABIDe implemented by the Transport Ministry, Ashok said the BIG 10 buses were a big hit and has increased the revenues considerably.</p>
