Proposing on April Fool's Day

The Valentine’s Day star, who married Moore in 2005, admitted that the day he decided to pop the question didn’t run smoothly and he had to delay the proposal by 24 hours.
“I planned to video the moment I proposed so that years later, I could play it back to her and say, ‘See, you did say yes to being my wife’.”

“But just as I was going to propose, I realised I had run out of film,” said Kutcher. The 32-year-old actor had to spend the entire day in an uncomfortable situation which kept Moore wondering what was wrong with him.

“I stumbled around all day with this ring burning a hole in my pocket. She kept asking, ‘What’s wrong, sweetie?’ and I couldn’t tell her. It was a little goofy. So I had to put it off until the next day,” said Kutcher.

But the actor was worried that the 47-year-old actress would not take his proposal seriously the next day as the date was April 1. “I ended up proposing on April Fool’s Day — a little silly,” he said.
