<p>A group of six friends stayed for over a month in the upscale Chancery Hotel located on Lavelle Road and fled without paying the bill of Rs 19,76,783. </p>.<p>James P, the hotel’s liaison officer, has made a complaint to the jurisdictional Cubbon Park police against Srinivasa Raju B P, Mitesh Solanki, Sathish S R, Venkatesh Bhandarkar, Ravendra Raghav and Vijay Varma. The friends are from Karnataka and a neighbouring state. </p>.<p>They were regulars at the hotel since July 2017 and had booked rooms on various occasions. Before taking up their current stay, they paid an advance of Rs 2 lakh and checked in on different dates for over a month. When the hotel management asked them to clear the dues, there was no response from them. Their mobile phones were later found switched off, the complaint stated.</p>.<p>The Cubbon Park police said they are checking the call detail record of the suspects and will arrest them soon. The police learnt that one of them owns a petrol bunk, while another is a top executive in a private firm. The rest are businessmen.</p>
