<p class="title">Metro stations are on high alert after a passenger’s 'suspicious' behaviour led to tension at Kempegowda metro station in Majestic on Monday evening.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officials said a passenger while entering the station, ran away when asked to show a device he was wearing under the shirt. The device had triggered the alarm on door frame metal detector. “Later, he tried to get in from another entrance but failed. When asked to open his bag there, he fled again,” the source added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The incident happened during the late evening. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Executive Director, Operations and Maintenance, BMRCL, A S Shankar confirmed the incident but said the officers were busy investigating and nothing could be shared at the moment.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“Precautions have been taken,” he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Meanwhile, a housekeeping staff at the metro station informed the investigators that a similar-looking person approached her and asked whether she would carry out something if paid.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Metro staff were instructed to strictly monitor bag-checks and frisking. No police complaint was registered at the time of going to print.</p>
