<p>Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) collected Rs 9.48 lakh in fines during a special drive on Thursday. </p>.<p>The highest amounts of fine (Rs 6.39 lakh) were collected from 1,279 two-wheeler riders for riding without helmets.</p>.Traffic police book 2,000 riders for various violations in Bengaluru.<p>As many as 455 vehicle users were booked for violating the no-entry rule, 85 for triple riding and 77 for riding on the footpath. </p>.<p>Police said they would continue to hold the special drives to make the city roads safer by stringent enforcement of traffic rules. </p>
