<p>A week after TV anchor and actor Chandan died in a car crash on National Highway 4 near Davangere, his wife Meena killed her son and attempted suicide. She died in Victoria Hospital here late Thursday night.</p>.<p>Relatives made Meena stay with them in Doddaballapur as she grew extremely disturbed after Chandan's sudden demise.</p>.<p>On Thursday, Meena left for her home — closer to the relative she was staying with — saying she would return after taking bath. When she did not come back, her relatives grew suspicious and rushed to her house. They found Meena struggling and her son Tushar's lifeless body next to her. Meena had apparently slit her son's throat.</p>.<p>She was taken to a nearby hospital and was later shifted to Bengaluru. Doctors had said her condition was critical.</p>.<p>Meena and Chandan were relatives and got married a couple of years ago. Chandan's shocking death plunged Meena into depression, which, a relative said, could have forced her to take her life.</p>
