<p>To create awareness on rain water harvesting in and around the City and villages, the Water Literacy Foundation (WLF) on Monday launched Water Literacy on Wheels, a collaborative effort in association with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and NABARD. <br /><br />A N Yellappa Reddy, former principal secretary for ecology, who inaugurated the event said conservation of lakes in Bangalore city would rejuvenate the water cycle. <br /><br />Bangalore Zilla Panchayat CEO Suryanarayan Rao listed conservation programmes undertaken by the ZP including the digging of 3,800 borewells in and around the City.</p>
