<p class="bodytext">The Bantwal police have registered a case against a teacher for subjecting a student to corporal punishment.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The student, admitted in a hospital in Bantwal, had filed a complaint against his Social Science teacher Abdul Khader for hitting him in the back by bending his head at Mogarnadu School. As a result, he suffered pain in the neck and leg.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police booked a case under IPC Section 323 and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children’s) Act 2015, sources said.</p>
