<p>Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) district in-charge B Ravi said that P S Sandhya has filed her nomination papers from the party for the Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha constituency.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Addressing reporters in Madikeri on Wednesday, he said that Sandhya has involved herself in social work for the last 25 years, especially in fighting for the rights of women.</p>.<p class="bodytext">SUCI(C) has fielded its candidates in 119 Parliamentary constituencies in 20 states and 3 union territories in the country.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“In Karnataka, SUCI(C) candidates have been fielded in Mysore-Kodagu, Bengaluru Rural, Davanagere, Bellary, Dharwad, Raichur-Yadgir and Kalaburgi. In Bengaluru, the party has extended support to Prakash Rai,” he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He further said that the Central government has been trying to cover-up its failures. Caste, religion and communal clashes have increased during the tenure of the NDA government at the Centre.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Candidate P S Sandhya said that the party, established in 1948, aims at solving the problems of labourers and the downtrodden.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Leaders Chandrashekhar and Yashoda were present in the press meet.</p>
