Chindodi Leela passes away

Leela had been hospitalised after she complained of chest pain 20 days ago. About a week later, an angiogram test was conducted. Following this, she underwent cardiac surgery. Her condition, however, deteriorated after the surgery and she went into coma. She had been in coma for the last three days and died at 9.10 pm on Thursday.

Her mortal remains will be kept at Veeranna Gubbi Rangamandira for public viewing till Friday noon. Later, the body would be taken to Davangere, where her last rites would be performed, family sources said.
