<p>The state government has decided to extend Chief Secretary</p>.<p class="bodytext">K Ratna Prabha’s tenure by three months and, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has written to the Centre seeking approval for the same.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The government has decided to extend Ratna Prabha’s tenure till September 2018. She is already on an extension, which ends June 30.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“There are several important issues of governance and administration that need to<br />be dealt with by the newly formed government. At this formative stage of the new government, an officer of her<br />calibre and experience is necessary to assist the government,” Kumaraswamy stated in a letter to the Centre on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumaraswamy has requested the Centre to approve Ratna Prabha’s extension with effect from July 1, 2018.</p>
