<p class="title">Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy checked-out of Ibnii resort near Madikeri on Sunday, after his two-day stay.</p>.<p class="title">It is said that he had come there for relaxation. He was accompanied by his spouse Anita Kumaraswamy, son Nikhil and District In-charge Minister Sa Ra Mahesh.</p>.<p class="title">After checking out, Kumaraswamy, Sa Ra Mahesh and Nikhil went separately to take part in a function in Maddur.</p>.<p class="title">Former chief minister Siddaramaiah too had stayed in the resort a few days ago. Kumaraswamy staying in the same resort immediately after Siddaramaiah's stay had given room for political discussions.</p>.<p class="title">Sa Ra Mahesh had stated that the chief minister who was tired after taking part in the Lok Sabha election campaign was in need of some rest. Rumours started making the rounds after Mandya District In-charge Minister C S Puttaraju visited the chief minister at the resort, on Saturday.</p>.<p class="title">As per the directions of the chief minister, Sa Ra Mahesh had conducted a review meeting with the district-level officers on natural calamity relief measures, at the DC's office on Saturday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Even though the move of the chief minister of not calling upon the flood victims has attracted criticism, the JD(S) leaders have clarified that he could not meet the victims of the natural calamity as there was an imposition of the election model code of conduct.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Kumaraswamy did not speak to the media who were outside the resort and left for Mandya on Sunday. The security was tightened in the premises of Ibnii resort.</p>
