P Rajeev (BJP) said that Governor Vajubhai Vala had given (former chief minister) B S Yeddyurappa 15 days’ time to prove his majority on the floor of the House. “The Supreme Court cut short the time, thereby unnecessarily interfering in the matters of the legislature,” he charged.<br />G C Madhuswamy (BJP) said the House should send a message that it will not tolerate inference by courts on its rights.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“The Speaker is the custodian of the House and not courts. If court interferes in everything, why do we need tahsildars, deputy commissioners? Let judges run the administration,” he said.</p>
