<p>Speaking after inaugurating a workshop on “Alternatives to solve the litigations and RTI” organised at JSS Law college here, he said any litigations in the courts demoralise individual to the core when he had to wait for long years to resolve the litigation. It becomes a mental agony and a trauma for the litigants when they move to the higher courts challenging the lower court verdicts. The best alternative is the mediation, he said. <br /><br />Sandesh said the ratio of the unresolved or undisposed cases to the number of judges was incomparable. The number of judges are far more less than the cases that are pending in the courts. He said that there was a popular saying in Kannada which said a man who lose his case in court virtually dies, while he who wins the litigation loses despite victory. Such is the agony that is faced by the litigants. Though, judiciary has made best efforts to disposes large number of cases in a speedy manner, the list of litigations is growing everyday. <br /><br />He said the Bangalore meditation centre was doing a remarkable work in solving the litigations through mediation. More than 60 per cent cases are disposed there, he said. <br />The principal judge opined that there was a gross misuse of RTI Act and called for the effective usage of the Act for positive purpose. <br /><br />Master trainer of Bangalore mediation centre Susheela Sarathi, principal of JSS law college K S Suresh and others were present. <br /></p>
