<p>The Konaje police arrested a man and seized 680 gram ganja and a two-wheeler at Mudipu Navagrama.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The arrested is Mohammed Iqbal. Iqbal tried to flee on seeing the police.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police caught him and found ganja in his possession. It is said that Iqbal had purchased ganja from Arshad of Meeyapadavu.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The arrested has been remanded in judicial custody.</p>.<p class="CrossHead">Job aspirant cheated</p>.<p class="bodytext">An unidentified man cheated a man on the pretext of getting him a job in Railways.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The victim is Ashraf Pallatharu. The unidentified man had promised of getting him a job in Railways, at State Bank area in Mangaluru on June 23 and had asked him to meet him on June 26. Accordingly, Ashraf met him at Service Bus stand.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He later took him to Mini Vidhana Soudha in Hampankatta and collected a fee of Rs 1,500.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Later, the man asked him to link a software to his mobilephone for submitting applications and was taken to a cyber centre in State Bank.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Ashraf, in his complaint, said that he had kept Rs 4,500 and his mobile phone in his bag and had kept it in a shop which was known to him.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Later, the man asked him to get the application form from an office. By the time he returned, the man had taken away the bag containing cash and mobilephone, Ashraf said in the complaint.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The police are investigating the case.</p>
