<p class="title">District In-charge Minister Jayamala said that she was not a ticket aspirant for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to reporters, Jayamala clarified that Karnataka Congress state in-charge K C Venugopal had not recommended her name for a ticket from any constituency. "If the party insists that I contest, I will decide on it then. The party is above us all," she added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"The work done by the coalition government will ensure the success of the party in the Lok Sabha elections. Former ministers Vinay Kumar Sorake, Pramod Madhwaraj and Ararti Krishna are aspirants. There are many more aspirants for tickets and the high command will take a final call," she added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">She declined to comment on the resignation of Congress MLA Umesh Jadhav. Jayamala said she was unaware of the statements made by Belur Goplakrishna against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.</p>
