<p>Aarathi Krishna, deputy chairperson of the NRI Forum of Karnataka, said, “I am one of the ticket aspirants for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Parliamentary Constituency.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to reporters, she said, “I have been visiting the constituency, meeting leaders and collecting suggestions. The high command had asked me to contest in the past. As I was working in the American Embassy then, I was not keen on contesting it. After tendering resignation, I have been involved in organising the party.” </p>.<p class="bodytext">“My family has a close affinity with politics. My father B Ramayya was a minister in the past. If the party high command wants me to contest, I will contest. I will abide by the high command’s decision,” she added.</p>
