<p>Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa and all the nine judges of the Karnataka High Court commended achievements of Justice Gopal Gowda who is born in Kolar. <br /><br />Accepting the felicitation the judge said there are a lot of problems in society to be addressed - women are not completely emancipated; many are suffering abject poverty; the due don’t get justice and there is no social condition to lead a respectable life. <br /><br />He said creating legal awareness is necessary to improve social life. He said the residents of his birth place have praised him as ‘son of soil,’ ‘bangarada manushya’ (golden man), but it has only added to his responsibilities towards the society. <br /><br />Water crisis<br /><br />Muniyappa, speaking on the occasion sought the advocates’ co-operation in pressuring the Government to address water crisis in the district. <br /><br />Besides, there are all possibilities of reviving gold mines in KGF soon, he said. The minister said process to revive the gold mines is in progress and preparations are on to resume mining operations. <br /><br />High Court Judges Justices Manjunath, N K Patil, Nagamohandas, Manjula Chellur, G Ramesh, Anandabairareddy, Venugopalagowda, L Narayanaswamy and Srinivasgowda, Advocates Association president Arunkumar, Secretary Subrahmani and advocates from all the taluks in the district were present. <br /><br /></p>
