<p>Speaking at the 55th Kannada Rajyotsava organised by Madikeri taluk Kannada Sahithya Parishat held at Cauvery Kalakshetra here on Friday, he said “Kannada language is known for harmony. We should respect the language.”All of us should strive for protecting Kannada, he added. <br /><br />DDPI N A Ramaswamy said that Kannada language has a history of 2,000 years. “We have diversity in Kannada literature. The respect for Kannada language should not be restricted to the month of November alone,” he said<br /><br />Earlier, Madikeri Taluk Kannada Sahithya Parishat President K T Babymathew hoisted the flag. <br /><br />During the valedictory programme, District Kannada Sahithya Parishat President T P Ramesh said that all Kannadigas should protect the land and language. <br /><br />CMC Commissioner K Srikanthrao said that Kannada is being strengthened in administration. There are several IAS officers who have successfully wrote their IAS examination in Kannada. Even the government is supporting writing IAS in Kannada.<br />” <br />St Michael School’s A R Arathi was felicitated for securing 125/125 marks in Kannada in SSLC examination.</p>
