<p>The Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) on Thursday extended the deadline for the electricity supply companies (Escoms) to file their tariff revision applications till December 13. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The extension was granted following requests from Escoms.<br /><br />As per the Electricity Act, 2003 and KERC terms and conditions, distribution licensees (dscoms) are required to file their expected revenue for consumptions (ERC) for the year 2014-15 within November 30.<br /><br />The Commission, on October 30, had directed the escoms to file their applications. However, the escoms on November 26 and 29 had requested the KERC to extended the deadline, citing reasons like delay in reconcilation of inter-escom energy sales, non-finalisation of half-yearly accounts for the year 2013-2014, non-finalisation of capital investment programme and costs for 2014-2015 and other reasons for extension.</p>
