<p class="title">Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar said, the Mahadayi Water Dispute Tribunal has not done justice to Karnataka, and the government is in consultation with legal experts regarding the next course of action.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“We will go to a higher court to get justice,” he said while speaking to media persons at Hubballi airport on Wednesday. He was on his way to Kankumbi, in Belagavi district, to take stock of the water available in the Kalasa stream.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The minister said, that the state would not allow even a single drop of water belonging to Karnataka to go waste.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“We are consulting legal and technical experts, to make sure that stronger arguments are presented before the court to make sure that Karnataka gets its rightful share of water from the Mahadayi basin,” he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">“After my visit to Kankumbi, I will call an all-party meeting, to chalk out the future course of action,” he said, adding, that the state government was as committed to getting justice in Mahadayi issue, as it is in Cauvery water dispute.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He reiterated that ‘all is well’ with the JD(S)-Congress coalition government and there was no threat to it. The government would complete its five-year term, he added.</p>
