<p class="title">Major Dr B Raghav, NCC officer and head of the history department at Field Marshal K M Cariappa College, has been honoured with the Chief Minister’s medal and the certificate of appreciation, meant for the best NCC officers, for the year 2020-21.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Major Dr B Raghav is the only NCC official from the NCC Mangaluru zone comprising Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Shivamogga and Kodagu districts to receive this honour.</p>.<p class="bodytext">During the recently held felicitation programme, NCC 19th Karnataka Battalion Commanding Officer Col Chethan Dhiman handed over the award and the medal to Major Dr B Raghav.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Administrative officer Lt Col Navdeep Singh Bedi, Subedar Major Sunil Kumar M K and others were present.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Major Dr B Raghav assumed the charge of NCC officer at Field Marshal K M Cariappa College in 1996-97.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He has provided training to NCC cadets towards the selection of various posts in the Indian Army, during his career spanning more than two decades.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Cadets trained by him have taken part in the Republic Day parade in Delhi almost every year, representing the Karnataka-Goa Directorate.</p>
