<p>Speaking after inaugurating Rajiv Gandhi Rural Electrification Scheme in Chikmagalur, he said 16,041 Kuteera Jyothi beneficiaries are also included in the scheme. Central government will be spending Rs 42.30 crore towards the scheme. The L & T company has been given the contract to complete the scheme across the country. <br /><br />He said electrcity will be supplied to 48 villages in Sringeri taluk, 57 in N R Pura, 218 in Chikmagalur, 140 in Mudigere, 80 in Koppa taluk, 206 in Tarikere and 284 in Kadur taluks. <br /><br />He lauded MESCOM and its MD Sumanth for their hardwork. <br />A handbook brought out by MESCOM was released by D V Sadananda Gowda. MLA C T Ravi, ZP President Gayathri Shanthe Gowda, CMC President H D Thamaiah, CDA President Ranganath, ZP Members Radha Sunadresh, Venkatesh and others were present.</p>
