<p>Mangaluru City South MLA Vedavyasa Kamath has appealed to Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports Rahim Khan to release Rs 14.75 lakh to renovate the roof of the U S Mallya Indoor Stadium which is 15 years old.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The roof has developed cracks. The seepage of rainwater during the monsoon inconveniences athletes. The leakage also damages the sports equipment, observed the MLA.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The MLA appealed to the minister to release Rs 335 lakh for repair and development works at the Mangala Stadium.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He said “I had already submitted a memorandum on January 8.
