<p>A musical evening with performance by visually challenged was jointly organised by Cultural Co-ordination Committee of MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education)-Manipal and Asare Special Children Home, School and Rehabilitation Centre recently.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Indira Ballal, wife of MAHE Pro Chancellor Dr H S Ballal, inaugurated the programme.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Five visually challenged persons played different musical instruments and sang with passion making the audience sit up and look up to them.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Shivananja, who works in Deputy Commissioner’s office in Mangaluru, and his wife Puspha, Ramesh from Madikeri, Arunakshi from Mangala Jyothi Integrated School-Mangalore and Anand from Karwar performed on the occasion.</p>.<p class="bodytext">They sang songs from movies and even recited Bhagvad Gita.</p>.<p class="bodytext">That apart children from Ninada Music Group from Udupi, Aparna Karanth and Adithya M Adiga played violin.</p>
