<p>Students of NMAMIT have developed an android app to ease the process of campus placements of the college. The placement process involves around 1000 students and more than 50 companies.</p>.<p class="bodytext">This application enables the students to register for the companies which visit the institute for campus placements and also disseminate news and updates about the placements to the registered students.</p>.<p class="bodytext">According to a press release, to date, the institute has been using an in-house developed placement portal for handling the students' registration for placement, updating their profile, informing the company details to students and also to spread instant notifications sent by the placement department.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Now all these can be done using an android app. The app was developed by a team of four CSE students, namely, Kashif Minhaj, Mohandas Pai, Muthahir Mohammed and Tahseen, under the guidance of prof Venugopala P S of CSE department with technical support from Rajeevan and Praveen Shetty. The app was released by the principal of NMAM Institute of Technology Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar on Wednesday and it is now available on Google play store for the use of final year students of NMAMIT.</p>
