<p>Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader said, “We will accept the people’s mandate in Ullal CMC. Winning and losing in the election is the beauty of democracy.”</p>.<p>To a query on the Congress failing to get a clear majority in his constituency, he said, “We could not win the target. There may be many reasons for the setback in the polls. The party leaders will introspect on the results to strengthen the party.”</p>.<p>On alliance with the JD(S), he said that the party leaders will decide on it. However, he clarified that the Congress will not have an alliance with the SDPI.</p>.<p>“Power is not the priority for the Congress. Small issues within the party might have benefited the SDPI and JD(S) in Ullal CMC,” he said.</p>.<p>On whether the Congress will have a truck with the SDPI in Bantwal, he said, “We will enter into an alliance with the party that believes in the principles of the Congress.”</p>.<p>Any untoward incidents in the name of elections will not be tolerated, said Khader while referring to the incident of stone pelting by miscreants at a shop in Kallapu. </p>
