<p>M V Prakash, the then Assistant Director, Town Planning Unit, Kuvempunagar in the city is the accused. Lokayukta sleuths had caught him red-handed while receiving ` 15,000 from C N Kiran Kumar of Muruganahalli in H D Kote taluk, in 2007. <br /><br />Kiran Kumar and his friend Rathnaiah were jointly owning four acres and three guntas of land at Kanakahalli in the same taluk, had applied for change of land. <br /><br />Judge of Third Additional District and Sessions Court sentenced him to jail, besides slapping a fine of ` 15,000.</p>
