<p>Addressing the meeting Palemar sought the cooperation of all the departments for the celebration. “The programmes such as Janaspandana has been reaching the door steps of every home by now. We have not let the programmes go without bearing results. The Vikasa Sankalpa Utsava has been organised to take the programmes to everyone and inform everyone about the programmes,” the minister said.<br /><br />It was decided to give facilities such as Bhagyalakshmi, home to fishermen, homes under Ashraya scheme to 3,000 families. The meeting also discussed on giving facilities from the Kannada Culture department. <br /><br />It has been decided to held the programme in Mangalore to include Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikmagalur under the ambit of it.<br /><br />The DCs of the districts concerned, chief executives of the Zilla Panchayat and Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon were present at the meeting. <br /><br />The meeting decided to distribute a booklet depicting the achievements of the government, progress in the development work and declarations in the budget. <br />An exhibition depicting the achievements and a programme to give facilities to the beneficiaries would also be held on the day, the meeting decided.<br /><br />Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner V Ponnuraj briefed the officials of the departments on organising the programme systematically as it will be held in the rainy season. Another meeting to this effect will be held on June 6 or 7. Plans for the initial step were discussed in the meeting.</p>
