<p>Anand Prakash has taken charge as the new Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Palghat Division on Monday. He has replaced the outgoing divisional manager Piyush Agarwal. <br /><br /></p>.<p>A civil engineer from Gwalior, Anand Prakash joined the Indian Railway Service of Engineers in 1982 and has worked in construction and open line operations, with special involvement in tunnel and bridge construction. He has worked in Western Railway, Central Railway, West Central Railway, Rail Coach Factory at Kapurthala, North Frontier Railway and IRCON.<br /><br />He has experience of working as chief safety officer in West Central Railway for two years. <br /><br />His areas of interests are tunnels, bridges and safety. He has been associated with the construction of Kashmir Rail Project which included commissioning of Banihal – Qazigund Rail Line project involving construction of India’s longest transportation tunnel of 11.2 km crossing gigantic Pir Panjal range, according to a press release.<br /><br /></p>
