They have formed the Raichur Power Corporation Limited, which will install a 1600 MW (800x2)-plant in Yeramaras and an 800 MW-plant in Yedlapur. <br /><br />About 900 acres of land has been given for the site and Rs 500 crore has been already allocated for the project, which has a final cost of Rs 13,000 crore.<br /><br />The Supercritical Technology uses less fuel, water and land compared to other existing thermal plants.</p>
