<p class="bodytext">President Ram Nath Kovind on Wednesday announced the award of Certification of Honour to Karnataka’s scholar M Chidananda Murthy for his contribution to Kannada literature. Murthy was selected for the award for the year 2018.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Togere Venkatasubba Shastry Venkatachala Sastry from Karnataka was selected for the Certification of Honour award for the year 2017 for his contribution to Kannada. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The President selected historian Prof S Shettar for the award of Certification of Honour of the year 2016 for his contribution to Kannada.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The President also selected Manjunatha from Karnataka with Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman award of the year 2016 for his contribution to Kannada, said a statement from the HRD Ministry.</p>
