<p>BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa on Thursday wrote to Legislative Assembly Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar opposing a proposed move that state budget copies will be provided to members in the Assembly only after Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy completes reading the budget proposals.</p>.<p>Kumaraswamy, who also holds the finance portfolio, will present the budget proposals for 2019-20 at 12.30 pm in the Legislative Assembly on Friday.</p>.<p>It has always been a tradition that the copies are distributed to members and media as soon as the chief minister/finance minister starts reading the budget proposals. “The move is unprecedented in the history of Karnataka Assembly. Please issue directions to restore the old system,” Yeddyurappa stated in his letter.</p>.<p>Later, Kumaraswamy clarified that the budget will be hosted online as soon as the presentation starts.</p>
