<p>The members of the Legislative Council have sought the state government that an external agency be tasked with investigation into the lapses in granting permission for new PU colleges.</p>.<p>During a meeting with the minister for primary and secondary education minister Sa Ra Mahesh here on Saturday, MLC Arun Shahpur said that instead of conducting a departmental probe into the lapses, the government should order investigation by an external agency.</p>.<p>Issues pertaining to the transfer of teachers was discussed in the meeting. It was sought that the five-year posting for PU lecturers should be reduced to three years.</p>
