<p class="title">Children who have spent their joyful summer vacations will attend schools from Wednesday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The teachers have made all preparations to welcome the students on the reopening day for primary and high schools. The PU classes had reopened last week.</p>.<p class="bodytext">In many schools, teachers were seen cleaning the classrooms on Tuesday. School premises are decorated with buntings to create a festive atmosphere.</p>.<p class="bodytext">As per the instructions by the Education Department, sweets will be distributed to the students, along with milk. Also, free textbooks and uniform will be distributed among the students on the reopening day.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The DDPI had issued a circular to clean the school premises, water tanks and toilets, prior to the day of the reopening. The classes should be conducted from the first day itself. The time table should be put up without fail.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The DDPI has also directed the schools to conduct special classes for the students who have failed in the SSLC examinations in March. If the schools do not have the RTC, the same should be obtained, the circular said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The Education Department commissioner has asked the schools to conduct enrollment drive to bring back the school dropouts in the district. Parents should be sensitised by conducting rallies and door to door visits in this regard.</p>.<p class="bodytext">With effect from the current academic year, LKG will be started in three government schools. Also, English medium will be adopted for the first standard from this year in Napoklu, Ponnampet and Nelyahudikeri schools.</p>.<p class="CrossHead"><strong>Precautionary measures</strong></p>.<p class="bodytext">The Education Department has asked the teachers to take up precautionary measures during monsoon.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Classes should not be conducted in rooms which are in need of repair.
