<p>A female infant that was brought to the Shahapur burial ground here under the impression that it was a stillborn shocked everyone by moving its limbs and proving that it was still alive.</p>.<p>The incident occurred on Monday.</p>.<p>Assistant Commissioner of Police (Market) sub-division Shankar Marihal said the workers at the Shahapur burial ground informed the police that a baby girl was brought by a ‘Kannada speaking family of five men and one woman’.</p>.<p>They refused to reveal the name of the hospital where the baby was born or which place they come from.</p>.<p>All that they said was that the infant was born in a private hospital and was a stillborn.</p>.<p>But as the grave-diggers began digging, the baby started moving its limbs and proving that it was alive. When the grave-diggers refused to bury the baby, the people who had brought it, left the burial ground, taking the infant with them, the police said. </p>.<p>“Efforts are being made to trace them,” Shankar Marihal said.</p>
