<p class="title">Additional Chief Secretary Dr Rajneesh Goel has directed the officials to take precautionary measures to tackle any natural calamity that might occur during the monsoon. </p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking at monsoon preparedness meeting held here, on Friday, Goel said officials from revenue, fire service and emergency, forest, police, agriculture, horticulture, Home Guards and health departments should work in coordination. Buildings should be identified to provide temporary relief to victims of floods in case of emergency,. </p>.<p class="bodytext">DC Dr Bagadi Gautham said control rooms had been set up in all the taluks. “Three staff will function round-the-clock at the control room. The district has 649 home guards. The repair of stormwater drains have been taken up,” he added.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Gautham said that health department has been asked to stock the required medicines. The forest department has trimmed the branches of trees beside the road in Sringeri and Mudigere.</p>
