Torpedoes T10 Bash: DNI surrender to Alva’s

A brilliant half century by Lal Sachin (82*) and some accurate bowling by Shreesha (2 for 12) helped Alva’s team to defeat the strong DNI by 43 runs, in the third day match of Torpedoes T10 bash national-level cricket tournament organised at NITK Surathkal ground on Saturday.

Alva’s, Moodabidri, on winning the toss, opted to bat first. Lal Sachin struck his first fastest half century of the tournament and remained unbeaten at 82 runs.

Due to his fast innings, the Alva’s scored 118 runs losing only two wickets in the process.

Unable to surpass the big total, the DNI, the home team, made only 75 runs losing seven wickets.

In the second match at NITK, Mangalore Dynamos beat Telangana by 78 runs. Dynamos won the toss and elected to bat first. Nishith N Raj scored 65 runs in 34 balls and helped the home team to reach another high score of the tournament, 118 runs. Telangana Tigers were bundled out for 40 runs.

Nishith was declared ‘Man of the Match’. The match between Mangalore Dynamos and NITK, Surathkal also witnessed a big score. Brilliant half centuries by Nishith Raj (52*) and Nehal D’Souza (64*) Dynamos to reach the big score of 136/1. The poor batting display by NITK cost the team and they were all out for just 40 runs. Nehal D’Souza won the Man of the match award.

At NMPT ground, Indian Port beat MCF by seven wickets. After winning the toss, Indian
Port team restrict the MCF for just 69 runs and reached it in just 4.5 overs, losing three wickets. In the second match, Bedra Friends registered easy win against Andra. Andra made jut 69 runs and lost six wickets. Bedra reached the target in 6.3 overs losing three wickets.

Other Matches Of the Day 3: Bedra Bulls beat Chakravarthi Kundapura by 27 runs (Bedra Bulls 108/4, Chakravarthi 81/7) and Indian Port beat BASF by 8 wickets (BASF 52/6, Indian Port 55/2).
