<p>Two students were killed on the spot and three others were seriously injured after the car they were travelling in rammed into a roadside tree near KB Cross in the taluk on Monday morning.</p>.<p>According to the police, the deceased are Kiran (18) of Chakohallipalya in Turuvekere taluk and Trinesh (20), a resident of Dandinashivara. They were on their way to write the CET exam in Chikkamagaluru. </p>.<p>The injured students have been admitted to Dandinashivara and Turuvekere hospitals for treatment. Their condition is said to be critical. The KB Cross police have registered the case.</p>
