<p>Thane/Mumbai: The Mira Road suburbs of Mumbai witnessed Uttar Pradesh-style bulldozer action on Tuesday in the wake of communal flare-up and clashes coinciding with the 'pran pratishtha' of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. </p><p>The thickly-populated multi-community-inhibited Mira Road suburbs located along the Western Railway line of Mumbai metropolitan region (MMR) comes under the Thane district and under jurisdiction of the Mira-Bhayander Vasai-Virar (MBVV) Police Commissionerate.</p><p>Mira Road witnessed communal flare ups on Sunday and Monday evening - and so far 13 persons have been arrested. </p>.<p>Amid heavy police presence, the Mira Bhayander Municipal Corporation (MBMC) carried out the demolition of illegal structures in Mira Road - in what sparked different reactions on social media platforms. </p><p>Around 12-15 illegal structures/ properties were demolished in Mira Road. </p><p>Strict vigil is being maintained following the clashes and also conducted a flag march in the Naya Nagar area which include the Palghar police, MBVV police, units of State Reserve Police Force, Rapid Action Force, Maharashtra Security Force among others. </p>.Ram temple consecration: Stone pelting on procession in Thane district hours after groups clash.<p>Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home portfolio, is personally overseeing the situation. </p><p>As Mira Road borders Mumbai, security was also beefed up in the financial capital of India. </p><p>Shiv Sena leader Pratap Sarnaik, who is an MLA from Ovala-Majiwada visited Mira Road during the day and also held a meeting with MBVV police chief Madhukar Pandey.</p><p>“Police were instructed to take strictest action against the culprits. So far 13 have been arrested so far and detailed analysis of CCTV footage is underway to identify and arrest others involved too. There will be zero tolerance against anyone who tries to take the law in their own hands and attempts to disturb the law and order situation in Maharashtra,” said Fadnavis.</p>
