Northeast monsoon onset in peninsular India from Oct 26: IMD

India Meteorological Department (IMD) on October 22 predicted Northeast monsoon is expected to make onset in peninsular India from October 26. He said, “A Western disturbance is approaching. Jammu and Kashmir will start receiving rain, it'll be cloudy in Delhi from tomorrow. Delhi can experience drizzling on night of Oct 23 or Oct 24 morning. Punjab will receive good rainfall, Uttarakhand and other areas won't receive rain.” He further added, “As per latest update, no significant rainfall particularly in next 2-3 days. Monsoon withdrawal underway, it'll withdraw from northeast, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka tomorrow. Northeast monsoon onset from Oct 26 in peninsular India.”
