New Delhi: Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Monday said the probe report on the death of young professional Anna Sebastain Perayil due to alleged "unsafe and exploitative work environment" is expected in ten days.

Mandaviya told reporters that the Ministry of Labour and Employment has already sought information from state officials. Minister of State for Labour Shobha Karandlaje last week said that the Ministry has ordered a probe into the incident.

"We would be able to say anything on the issue only after the report. We don't have to spare the fault of the establishment. The report should be available in a week or ten days," he said.

The death of 26-year-old Anna Sebastain Perayil within four months of joining Ernst & Young had triggered a controversy after her mother Anitha claimed that work pressure had claimed her daughter's life on July 20.

Mandaviya's comments came two days after the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) issued a notice to the Ministry asking it to submit a detailed report on the investigations and the steps taken to ensure that such incidents do not take place.
