<p>Five people belonging to Khairwar tribe were killed by a group of armed Maoists at Banda village in Rohtas district late Saturday evening.<br /><br />"Security forces have been deployed at the village in view of the anger and tension," Rohtas Superintendent of Police Manu Maharaj told IANS over phone. <br /><br />He said police was not taking any chance, fearing retaliation by people of the Khairwar tribe who have been opposing Maoists in the area. <br /><br />Police suspect that the Maoists killed tribals in apparent retaliation to the killing of their top leader and self-styled commander Brinder Rana Yadav early this month.</p>
