A woman was also seen showing the currency notes in another picture. As the pictures went viral, district police officials took cognisance of the matter and summoned Sahni to explain the photographs. </p>.<p>Sources said that the cop claimed that the photographs were two years old and had been clicked when he had withdrawn money from the bank for the purpose of getting his house built.</p>.<p>A senior district police official said that Sahni was sent to the police lines after his explanation was not found to be satisfactory. ''He has also been asked to give a written explanation,'' the official added.</p>.<p>The pictures evoked sharp comments from the netizens, with many saying that the money must have been earned through illegal means.</p>.<p>''We will conduct a thorough probe in the matter,'' the official said.</p>
